Warehouse assistant - full time Salary range $50,000 - $60,000 Drums R Us Guildford store is looking for a warehouse associate to join our team. This is a full-time position, Monday to Friday 8am to 4pm.The successful candidate will be responsible for assisting with customer sales and enquires, receiving and packing away stock, modifying drums using power tools, washing drums and removing labels. At times, it can be a busy warehouse. We are seeking someone with a mature, can-do attitude who is motivated and can work independently and speak fluently in English
We require someone who has experience operating a forklift, able to drive a small truck (car license), safely use power tools such as a small angle grinder, jigsaw and cordless drill and doesn't mind getting wet when washing drums with a pressure washer.
While product training will be provided, there is an expectation they can use power tools and have experience driving a forklift.
Main responsibilities will includeCustomer sales and enquiresUnloading / loading the truck with stock, both manually and using a forkliftReceiving and packing away stockUsing power tools to modify stock into garden pots, tap drums and chicken feedersWashing out drumsRemoving labelsDriving the company truck to do deliveries and pickup stockHousekeeping of warehouseThe candidate should ideally have:Forklift license along with experience using a forklift Car license and a good driving recordWork independently including open/ closing the Wearhouse.Comfortable manual handling empty metal and plastic drums 3kg – 22kg.The ability to learn quickly – with a wide range of products from different suppliers.The ability to work quickly and efficiently - you will be juggling multiple tasks with tight deadlines and will need the ability to focusWell developed customer-service skills, including telephone calls from customers and staff.
